Instructor Bios

Todd Boston (www.ToddBoston.com)
Todd Boston is a producer of world and folk music, he is a teacher, a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist, and a performer who has a passion for sharing music with others. He has played in festivals, events and venues from coast to coast as well as across the sea. Todd is a dedicated musician who believes music is a gift that is healing and a crucial part of our community. He has worked extensively with children teaching music as well as facilitating workshops and one-on-one sessions in children’s hospitals. He volunteers his time in nursing homes, cancer centers, hospitals and wellness centers sharing music. Todd leads workshops on sound and continues to explore the relationship between music and movement through his project of offering Live Music with Yoga and Dance.

Kristin Luna Ray (www.KristinLunaRay.com)
Kristin Luna Ray is a powerful musician whose presence and music have a magnetic quality that deeply captivate and inspire the listener.
With her melodic acoustic guitar, drum rhythms and sweet earthy voice, Luna has created an original style of deeply poetic and heart felt, soulful world folk music that resonates with a diverse audience. Known for her devotion to awakening deeper realms of consciousness through music, over the past 5 years Luna has traveled extensively from east to west coast and across countries borders, using the music to connect with the souls of people. She can be found at festivals with a full band playing world grooves, guiding funky kirtan's, in yoga classes adding a musical vibration to meditation, teaching workshops about the power of music to children and/or elders, or in the jungle on the earth, singing in the dawn. She has collaborated with a variety of artists such as Wah!, Shimshai, David Newmann, and Girish.

Matthew Schoening (www.SoloElectricCello.com)
Matthew is a teacher, performing artist, and a lover of music. As one of many musical ventures, he composes dynamic compositions for his electric cello through a unique style of live looping and layering. By recording himself live in front of audiences and instantly layering his recordings on top of one another, he creates a rich landscape of worldly sounds, rhythms, melodies, and harmonies -- a symphony’s worth of sound from one man, and one instrument, live. Matthew has mentored musicians young and old, and inspired artists of many disciplines who have called him "soul-touching," "boundary-expanding," and "healing." He shares his gifts to benefit children's hospitals, human trafficking, cancer foundations, and to heighten the experience of union with spirit in yoga workshops. He has performed at Seattle Symphony Hall, for Entertainment Tonight, with The Dancing People Company, at Earthdance, at Yoga Journal Magazine conferences nationwide, and worked on projects with world-renowned musicians including Ottmar Liebert, John Medeski, Chuck D, and many others. Matthew believes that it is important for each of us to find and fulfill our purpose; we can all follow our hearts and pursue our dreams through gifting our talents to others through art, music, and collaboration.
